Charlemagne
Charlemagne got his
name from his grandfather Charles Martel and got titled as Charles the Great,
which was translated to English as Charlemagne, at 771 AD Charlemagne’s brother
died, which gave him the other half of the kingdom, Charlemagne fought against the
Muslims, sieged the Saragossa, Hispania, Corsica, and the Sardina’s, from the
French, and conquered the Slav’s and Arar’s, there is also a book about him
when his rearguard was defeated in spain called the “Battle of Roncevaux”, He
was also crowned king because he defended Pope Leo 2 from prosecutors which
then crowned him, after Charlemagne died his co-emperor Louis the Pions became
emperor
